Sonos Music System Guide
Enjoy high-quality audio throughout your stay with the Sonos system.
Network Connection
Important
The Sonos system is already set up and connected to the FH450 WiFi network.
You don’t need to configure anything - just connect your device to the same network and you’re ready to play music!
Getting Started
Step 1: Connect to WiFi
Make sure your phone, tablet, or laptop is connected to:
- Network: FH450
- Password: Aspen123

Step 2: Install the Sonos App
Download the free Sonos app:
- iOS: App Store
- Android: Google Play Store
- Desktop: sonos.com/software
Step 3: Find the Sonos System
- Open the Sonos app
- The app should automatically detect the Sonos system on the network
- If prompted, tap “Connect to Existing System”
Playing Music
Using the Sonos App

Open the Sonos app

Tap “Browse” to access music services

Select your preferred music source:
- Spotify
- Apple Music
- YouTube Music
- Amazon Music
- Pandora
- TuneIn Radio
- And many more

Choose your music and tap play

Select the Sonos speaker you want to use
Direct Streaming (AirPlay)
If you have an Apple device, you can stream directly:
- Play music on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
- Tap the AirPlay icon
- Select the Sonos speaker
- Music will play through the Sonos system
Bluetooth Connection
Some Sonos models support Bluetooth. If available:
- Enable Bluetooth on your device
- Look for the Sonos speaker in your Bluetooth settings
- Pair and connect
- Play music from any app on your device
Music Services
Already Logged In?
Some music services may already be configured. Check the Sonos app to see what’s available.
Adding Your Own Services
To use your personal music accounts:
- Open the Sonos app
- Go to “Settings” > “Services & Voice”
- Tap “Add a Service”
- Select your music service
- Log in with your credentials
Supported services include:
- Spotify (Free and Premium)
- Apple Music
- Amazon Music
- YouTube Music
- Pandora
- Deezer
- Tidal
- And many more
Volume Control
Using the Sonos App
- Use the volume slider in the app
- Tap + or - buttons
- Adjust volume for individual speakers or groups
Using Voice Commands
If Alexa or Google Assistant is set up:
- “Alexa, volume up”
- “Hey Google, set volume to 50%“
Physical Controls
Some Sonos speakers have touch controls on top:
- Tap to play/pause
- Swipe up/down for volume
- Swipe left/right to skip tracks
Grouping Speakers
If there are multiple Sonos speakers in the property:
- Open the Sonos app
- Tap “Group” or the room name
- Select which rooms to include
- Music will play synchronized across all selected speakers
Troubleshooting
Can’t Find the Sonos System?
- Make sure you’re connected to the FH450 WiFi network
- Restart the Sonos app
- Check that the Sonos speaker has power (LED should be lit)
- Make sure your phone and Sonos are on the same network
No Sound Playing?
- Check volume level in the app
- Verify the speaker is powered on
- Make sure the correct speaker is selected
- Try restarting the speaker (unplug for 10 seconds)
Music Keeps Stopping?
- Check your WiFi connection strength
- Move closer to the WiFi router if needed

- Restart the Sonos app
Can’t Add Music Service?
- Verify you have a valid account with the service
- Check your login credentials
- Ensure the service is supported by Sonos
- Try removing and re-adding the service
Tips for Best Experience
WiFi Connection
- Strong WiFi is essential for smooth playback
- The router is in the living room (right of TV, lower cabinet)

Audio Quality
- Use high-quality streaming settings in your music service
- For best quality, use Lossless or HD streaming if available
- Close other bandwidth-heavy apps while listening
Multiple Users
- Multiple people can control the Sonos with their own devices
- Anyone on the FH450 network can use the Sonos app
- No special permissions needed
Respectful Use
Please be mindful of volume levels, especially:
- Late at night and early morning
- If in a shared building
- During quiet hours

Playlists
- Create playlists in the Sonos app
- Access playlists from your music services
- Queue up multiple songs
Alarms
- Set wake-up alarms with your favorite music
- Available in the Sonos app settings
Sleep Timer
- Set music to automatically stop after a set time
- Great for falling asleep to music
Radio and Podcasts
- Access thousands of radio stations via TuneIn
- Listen to podcasts from various services
Privacy Note
When you leave, your music service logins will remain on the device. If you prefer:
- Log out of your services before checkout
- Remove your account from the Sonos app settings
